We opened Rickman Chiropractic in March of 2000. Dr. Steve Rickman and his staff are dedicated to serving the community of Independence and the surrounding area with the highest quality chiropractic care. We specialize in treating people of all ages with all of their healthcare needs. We have taken care of little newborns to 99 year olds. We treat conditions resulting from auto accidents, workplace accidents, falls, sports injuries or those ailments that come on gradually with no known cause. Some of the conditions we most commonly see are: neck and back pain, arm and hand pain/numbness, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, migraines, leg and foot issues, TMJ syndrome, just to name a few. In addition to stress from childbirth to the constant jumping, falling (average of 5000 times by the age of seven), running and bumping of normal childhood often cause vertebral subluxations, with serious health implications if left uncorrected. We appreciate the importance of checkups for a child’s teeth, hearing, eyes, ears, nose and throat but parents may draw a blank when it comes to the spine. Dr. Dexter Dietrich

Dr. Dexter Dietrich was born in Wichita, Ks and graduated from Mulvane High School in Mulvane, Ks. He attended Pittsburg State University and graduated with a double bachelor’s in Business Management and Marketing in 2013. He worked for five years as a commercial project manager in Springfield, Mo where he decided this was not his passion. When attending Pittsburg State University, he was an avid weightlifter and had several issues with his low back and neck. He would also have issues with his ribs after working out and saw a Chiropractor for the first time, where they adjusted him, and all the discomfort went away. This is where his interest peaked, and his love of Chiropractic started.

Soon after his first Chiropractic experience, he enrolled in Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2019 and obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2022. He served on several mission trips throughout his time at Cleveland Chiropractic College that took him from Jamaica to Haiti, which has changed his life for the better and he has been treating patients with Chiropractic ever since.

While in school he was in several clubs that adds extra knowledge and skills to be applied with the adjustment. He attended countless seminars outside of his regular studies to become an expert adjuster, to increase his knowledge of pediatric care, perinatal care for pregnant moms (Webster Technique Certified), upper cervical care, extremity adjusting including shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles, thompson and diversified techniques, just to name a few.

Dr. Dexter enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Suzee and kids, Colton and Carsyn, hanging out with friends and family, being active, doing adventurous things from: weightlifting, rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, skydiving, or riding motorcycles. He likes to relax at the lake or explore new spots around the city and travel the world.
